Chef Lorenzo Cacace was born and raised in East Haven, CT. Cooking has always been a part of Lorenzo’s life. As a child, his Nona had him making fresh pasta & his Poppy taught him the art of making wine. Lorenzo was 19 when he started his own catering company as he attended the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He returned to Connecticut to be with his family & continued his passion by cooking in New Haven and catering private functions. Lorenzo opened his first pizzeria on Crown street, then a Trattoria on State street in New Haven. Lorenzo, his wife, Jacqueline their 2 children moved to the artistic village of Chester. In 1999, expecting their 3rd child they ventured to open “La Vita Gustosa; The Tasty Life”.
